1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Clarity ("the Service") at getclarity.studio, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Clarity is a personal thinking workspace that allows you to capture, organise, and explore your thoughts using AI-assisted tools. The Service is provided by the Clarity team and is available on web and mobile platforms.

3. Your Account

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. You agree to provide accurate information and to notify us immediately of any unauthorised use of your account. You must be at least 13 years old to use Clarity.

4. Your Content

You retain full ownership of all content you create in Clarity — your thoughts, notes, and any other data you store ("Your Content"). We do not claim any ownership rights over Your Content.

By using the Service, you grant Clarity a limited licence to store, process, and display Your Content solely to provide the Service to you. We do not use Your Content to train AI models, sell to third parties, or share with others without your permission.

You are solely responsible for Your Content. You agree not to store content that is illegal, harmful, or violates the rights of others.

5. AI Features

Clarity uses AI features powered by third-party providers (including Anthropic and OpenAI). When you use AI features, relevant portions of your notes may be sent to these providers to generate responses. These providers have their own privacy policies and terms of use.

AI-generated responses are provided for informational purposes only. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any AI output.

6. Free and Pro Plans

Clarity offers a free tier with limited features and a Pro subscription at $7/month. Free plan limits include 50 thoughts and 10 AI requests per day. Pro plan features are as described on the pricing page at the time of purchase.

Subscriptions are billed monthly. You may cancel at any time. Refunds are not provided for partial months except where required by law.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use Clarity to:

• Violate any applicable laws or regulations
• Store, distribute, or transmit harmful, abusive, or illegal content
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Service
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure
• Use automated means to access the Service without our written permission
• Attempt to reverse engineer or extract the source code of the Service

8. Data and Privacy

Your data is stored securely using Supabase (PostgreSQL). We implement industry-standard security measures including encryption at rest and in transit. For full details on how we handle your data, please see our Privacy Policy.

You can export all your data at any time from within the app. If you delete your account, your data will be permanently removed within 30 days.

9. Availability and Changes

We strive to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service at any time with reasonable notice where possible.

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. We will notify users of material changes by email or in-app notification.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be error-free, secure, or available at any particular time.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Clarity shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

12. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws. Any disputes shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation before pursuing any formal legal action.
